DINAMICA is a leader in the design and production of a wide range of couplings including Torsional Rigid Couplings, Flexible Couplings, Zero Reaction Couplings, Toothed Couplings, Shaft Couplings, Bellows and Disc Couplings or Custom Designed Couplings.
Our products satisfy the needs of the most demanding power transmissions with a wide quality guarantee. Couplings certified according to ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU are available on request.
What are mechanical couplings?
When we talk about industrial machinery without a doubt we must know about its uses, its applications the different solutions they provide us. However, there are numerous elements to which we are not so accustomed and that can make a difference in our industrial processes. We are talking about mechanical couplings, which are the elements of machinery intended to extend shaft transmission lines, or to connect different sections of axes, either in different planes or with parallel directions, in order to transmit energy.
Mechanical couplings are present in modern and advanced processes, in which in addition to the functions described, they also fulfill other objectives, such as protecting your system from excessive loads and forces. That said, we must bear in mind that mechanical couplings have a fairly recent use in industry, from the nineteenth century, although they currently have a wide variety of applications.
Among the multiple functions that mechanical couplings can have, we must emphasize that their main function is to connect the shafts that have been manufactured separately and that need to rotate, as may be the case of a motor or a generator.
In addition to this, we must also highlight other functions of the couplings, since, in the same way, they also allow a final movement to achieve greater flexibility, in addition to providing a better disconnection of the two independent devices, in cases where it is required to carry out some type of repair or subsequent modification.
Thanks to the couplings, we will also be able to reduce the shock that is transmitted from one axis to another, protecting them at the same time from possible overloads or vibrations that could deteriorate the performance of the various elements.
Dynamic Couplings
When choosing the best couplings for whatever your situation, you should keep in mind that at Dinámica we are leaders in both design and production of a wide variety of coupling solutions, among which we find rigid torsional couplings, elastic couplings, zero reaction couplings , toothed couplings, shaft couplings, as well as bellows and disc couplings, and we even have the option to offer you couplings designed according to your own needs.
All the coupling solutions that you will find in Dinámica have been specifically developed to meet the needs of power transmissions that you may require, even those more demanding that require products of the highest quality. In addition, we must emphasize that all Dynamics couplings comply with the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU.
In Dynamics we have a wide catalog of couplings, whether rigid, elastic or articulated, since, depending on the main characteristics of each type of coupling, it will be more or less appropriate depending on what type of installation we need.
Different coupling options
Within the different options that we can find in terms of couplings, we find three large groups, rigid couplings, flexible couplings and articulated couplings.
Rigid couplings, as the name suggests, are all those couplings that provide us with a type of fixed connection between two axes, in addition to offering us high precision and power torque. However, we must emphasize that, with this type of couplings, we will not achieve the ability to absorb misalignments, since, being rigid, it does not allow movements between both axes.
Rigid couplings are also not able to absorb vibrations and, in addition, usually require frequent lubrication. This is because both axes of union must be aligned correctly, to ensure in this way, that we get the best performance, at the same time that we will be preventing future breakages. Finally, we must emphasize that, within the rigid couplings, we find the subgroups of sleeve coupling, rigid couplings of plates, and split sleeve couplings.
Another of the coupling options that we find are flexible couplings, and within them, there are metallic elastic couplings or those couplings with an elastic element. The first, metal elastic couplings, are those that have a type of power transmission, which is carried out by, as the name suggests, metal components. On the contrary, in flexible couplings with a plastic element, the transmission is carried out by some flexible type component.
In this case, both elastic couplings will help us compensate for misalignments, being especially useful in applications where we need a quick start of the machinery.
Originally, elastic couplings have a lower power torque than rigid couplings, although this can be solved thanks to the wide variety of alternatives that we can find, depending on the type of flexible coupling we use.
Finally, we must talk about articulated couplings, which are all those whose main function is to prevent the loss of power transmission, by joining two axes that have different alignments.
Dynamics Coupling Catalog
In the wide catalog of Dynamic couplings , you will find the following options for all your needs:
- Trasco ES coupling, which has been specifically designed to compensate for misalignment and to dampen vibrations in indexing applications. It has a compact design, making it completely optimal for those applications that require precise movement.
- Servoplus Bellows coupling, which is ideal for those servo motor applications, in which high torsional rigidity is needed, in addition to a real zero game, high torques, low inertia, always with the highest reliability.
- Servomate coupling, a coupling specially designed for servo motor applications. It also has a compact design, which will provide us with a low inertia, achieving a reliable coupling perfect for high speeds.
- Safemax torque limiter couplings, specially designed for industrial applications, where there is an increase in automations, in which greater robustness of the systems is required. With Safemax couplings we will avoid instant decouplings, eliminating unnecessary risks.
- Metaldrive disc couplings, which are those made of steel, and which are usually used in those applications in which we need greater reliability and precision, always accompanied by minimal maintenance.
- Sitex ST couplings, which are couplings made of high quality steel, composed of one or two toothed hubs.
- Trasco couplings, which are flexible and homokinetic, and will ensure the best performance in their class.
- Sitex couplings, those formed by two toothed steel cubes, which are connected by a toothed crown made from a polyamide resin.
- Juboflex elastic couplings, couplings manufactured with an elastic element of natural rubber, which has steel inserts for the assembly of fixing screws.
- Sheet couplings, which are those manufactured in two halves connected with bolts. These couplings do not need maintenance or lubrication, and also thanks to their construction, we will be preventing corrosion.
- Bolt couplings, it is a rigid type coupling, which has been manufactured in two cast iron halves, connected by means of bolts.
- Universal joints, high precision, whose executions are composed of 2 hubs with forks and a central block.
